• Due diligence on title relating to immovable properties (pan India), Documentation, Legal Opinions on various issues relating to properties including litigations, Structuring of Real Estate transactions and projects and advising on tax implications (income tax, GST and capital gains) in relation to real estate transactions.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Have been involved in the practice of property and related laws for the last 30 years
• Have written several Articles on Immovable Properties which have been published by Professional Institutes, Chambers of Commerce, other Institutions, Associations, etc
• Was a columnist in “The Hindu” publishing every Saturday under the “Property Plus” supplement, columns titled as “Legal Chat and “Fact File”, covering property laws and personal laws and also answering questions from the general public in a column titled as “Forum”.
• Have published several papers in property journals and conducted workshops for the real estate sector.
• Was appointed by the Government of Karnataka, Revenue Department (BHOOMI & UPOR) as an Advisor to help in the regulation, simplification and transparency of land records in the State.
• Presently in the panel of Canara Bank, State Bank of India and PNB Housing Finance Limited.
• Presently the Legal Advisor on property matters to various reputed companies and corporations
• Is fully associated with NCS Raghavan and Co, Chartered Accountants, Bangalore, a very senior and reputed firm founded by my Late father Sri.N.C.S.Raghavan over five decades ago in which my brother Sri.Ashok Raghavan is a Senior Partner.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

• Was the District Rotaract Representative of Rotary International District 3190 during the year 1992-93.
• Is the Chairman and Managing Trustee of Sri.Balabyraweshwara Educational and Charitable Trust® which is involved in social work with emphasis on rural education since the last twelve years. The said trust has helped students in Government Schools and Junior Colleges in Mandya District by donating Desktops, Laptops, Furniture, Kitchen Equipment, Notebooks, Stationery and Sports Equipment. More than 5800 rural students benefit from the activities of the Trust every year. The Trust has also installed water storage and distribution facilities in three of the Government Schools, donated projectors and smart boards to several schools and has carried out complete re-furbishing and re-painting to three Govt. Schools and the office of the Block Education Officer, Pandavapura Taluk, Mandya District during the last one year.
• The Trust has donated ten ICU Beds, 6 oxygen concentrators and 20 oximeters to the Government Hospital at Pandavapura to help the authorities in combating the Covid 19 pandemic.
• The Trust has constructed a Digital Library at the Govt. Primary School, Sanabada Koppalu, Chinnakuruli Hobli, Melkote Taluk, Mandya District.
• Have served as a member of the legal committee of the Bangalore Club and the Karnataka State Cricket Association for several terms.
• Have served as the Honorary Secretary of the Karnataka Race Horse Owners Association for several terms.
• Has served the Bangalore Animal and Stable Employees Welfare Society® as a founder member since 2012.
• Have served as a Member of the Managing Committee of the Bangalore Turf Club Limited as a Government Nominee during the year 2011-12.
• Served as a Steward of the Bangalore Turf Club Limited for the years 2021-22 and 2022-23
• Served as former Chairman and Senior Steward of the Bangalore Turf Club Limited for the year 2023-24.

• General skills- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, delivered lectures in more than 300 seminars/workshops organized by various forums especially on property matters and published articles on property laws for several institutions.
